Support Worker
Location: Stockton-on-Tees, TS17
Hours: Full-time, days and nights 9am – 9pm / 9pm-9am
Pay: £12.35 per hour

About the Role
We are looking for support workers to develop a new team to support a lady who is in her mid-30’s to help and support with the transition into her own purpose-built supported living home.
We are looking for people to support her develop and maintain her independence, she is looking for people who are warm, caring and have a nurturing side to them. She does not like conflict, so is requiring someone who can remain calm in stressful situations.
She loves to be out and about and is wanting people on her team who are happy and have a positive outlook on life. She is independent ad will need prompting, along with developing life skills.
You will be providing support on a 2-1 basis and you will be required to work long days, with sleep ins included and be flexible to pick nights up if needed, along with having flexibility to work Monday to Sunday.
Our team is passionate about delivering high-quality, bespoke care that places each individual at the heart of everything we do. Due to the nature of the role, shift patterns include evenings, weekends, and some unsociable hours.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to build positive relationships with those we support and to ensure effective handovers with colleagues.

You will be:
Reliable, friendly, and caring
Confident supporting in-house activities and hobbies
Attentive, encouraging, and able to inspire residents to achieve more
Ideally have experience in Supporting individuals in a Support Worker role
Confident with medication administration
A holder of a full UK driving licence
Key Responsibilities
Duties will vary depending on individual needs and may include:
Monitoring, recording, and administering medication
Light household duties
Supporting with mobility and personal care
Assisting with shopping and food preparation
Providing companionship and emotional support
