Location: Newham
Service: TS8 (3:1 Support)
Pay Rate: £12.35 per hour
About the Role
We are looking for caring and positive Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Newham, providing 3:1 person-centred support to an individual with complex needs.
As a Support Worker, no two days are the same. You will play a vital role in promoting independence, emotional wellbeing, and quality of life, while working in a structured and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Providing high-quality, person-centred support
• Supporting with personal care and mobility
• Monitoring, recording, and administering medication
• Assisting with shopping and food preparation
• Supporting daily routines and community activities
• Light household tasks
• Providing companionship and emotional reassurance
• Working both independently and as part of a team
• Communicating effectively with colleagues and professionals
About the Individual You Will Support
The person you will be supporting enjoys predictable routines, clear boundaries, and calm, friendly interactions. She responds best to happy, smiley, positive staff who use a soft tone of voice and simple language.
Interests include:
• Art, crafts, colouring, drawing, baking
• iPad games (sorting games, photos, music videos)
• Animals (dogs, rabbits, reptiles), soft toys, stickers
• Lol dolls, beads, bracelets
• McDonald’s, KFC, and fish shop meals
• Praise, encouragement, and helping staff with small tasks
Important considerations:
• Sensitivity to noise, heat, bright lights, and busy environments
• Dislikes unpredictability, being rushed, and changes to routine
• Can present with behaviours of concern, so consistency and calm support are essential
• Requires support from staff who respect personal space and communicate clearly
About You

• Happy working within routines and clear boundaries
No previous experience is required – full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Shift Pattern: You must have flexibility to work weekends
• Day shifts: 9am – 9pm
• Waking night shifts: 9pm – 9am
